Peri Bigogno
Peri Bigogno, a family of winemakers since 1946, traces its roots to the Castenedolo hill, nestled between the city of Brescia and Lake Garda, where the passion for viticulture has thrived for centuries. For over seventy years, the Peri family has worked to preserve the winemaking traditions of their region. In 1972, Mario and Maria pioneered the creation of "Gobbo," a blend of the best red grapes, followed by the first harvest of Chardonnay in 1980, dedicated to producing Castenedolo’s first “Champennoise” sparkling wine. Today, their son Andrea and his wife Francesca continue the legacy, sharing their wines both in Italy and internationally.
The wine selection at Casale Gabbadeo is a celebration of the unique terroir of Castenedolo and the winery’s long-standing commitment to excellence. The range includes both international and indigenous grape varieties, each vinified with care to showcase their distinctive characteristics. At the heart of the selection is Gobbo, a historic blend created in 1972, which combines the classic Bordeaux varietals with the local Marzemino, offering a true reflection of the region's winemaking heritage. Additionally, the winery offers three refined after-dinner wines, created in collaboration with Distillerie Peroni of Gussago, perfect for concluding a meal with sophistication. Every wine in the selection represents a harmonious balance of tradition and innovation.
