Paesani Liquori
Run by the Paesani family since 1961, this artisanal fabbrica in Collevecchio, Abruzzo, produces hand-crafted amari and liqueurs that reflect the region’s rich traditions. Overlooking the Gran Sasso d’Italia, the highest peak in the Apennines, the family continues to source fruits, herbs, and botanicals—whether cultivated or foraged—to create a lineup that balances authenticity with a refined, contemporary style. Their flagship, Amaro Gran Sasso, features an infusion of more than 20 botanicals, alongside other specialties such as Genziana, Ratafía, and Liquirizia.

The story begins with brothers Ermanno and Pietro Paesani, skilled foragers and craftsmen who founded the distillery in 1961 and developed the original recipe for Amaro Gran Sasso, still faithfully followed today. Their dedication to tradition has been passed down through generations: Pietro’s son Antonio and now his grandson Mirco oversee every step of production, from selecting raw ingredients to packaging design. This family stewardship ensures that each bottle remains a true expression of Abruzzo’s heritage and artisanal spirit.
