A basic red wine made from 100% Sangiovese from young vines aged 7-14 years. Spontaneous fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for 15 days, and aging also in stainless steel. For a basic red, it is quite full-bodied, and dry with nice tannins. Notes of ripe fruit with balanced acidity and a fairly long finish.

There are only 500 bottles produced of this special elegant wine. French tonneau barrels are used for 18 months which completes this wine with its round, long finish. Notes of plum, blackberry and spice are found on both the nose and palate.

Moscato d'Asti Lumine come from vines ranging from 20-35 years old. There is a tedious yearly decision of what time to hand-harvest the grapes to produce the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The palate is bright with hints of tropical fruits, green apple and stone fruits such as, peach and apricot. The Capanna farm, owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, is situated in the Montosoli area, to the north of Montalcino. It was founded by Giuseppe Cencioni and, helped by his sons Benito and Franco, it was one of the first farms of the modern period of Brunello. They started bottling their own wines in the 1960's and after Brunello di Montalcino was granted DOC status in 1966, Giuseppe was one of the 25 founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino.
