    Refined & Elegant

This Barbaresco is a refined, elegant wine that highlights finesse over power. Grown in the Cà Grossa MGA with its fresh microclimate and partially sandy, marly soils, it offers a delicate bouquet of ripe red fruit, spices, and violet. The wine's red ruby color with hints of garnet reflects its graceful character, while the fine tannins, enhanced by the East-facing exposure, are already well-integrated after a few months in the bottle.

    Floral & Savoury

Cà Grossa MGA is a designated microclimate, meaning that this wine grows in an environment that is unique to only itself. This creates a sophisticated, complex, yet extremely finessed expression of Nebbiolo. There is a symphony of savory and sweet notes that include, bloomed spices, dried violet, ripe red fruit, wet sand, clay pot, rose petals, leather, and bright red cherry. This wine is a true thing of beauty.

    Fresh & Rich

This Barbera is rich and elegant to say the least. This red has a silky round mouth-feel that lingers deeply on the aftertaste. Both the nose and palate exude notes of roasted coffee, crushed rose petals, and blackberries. This is a powerful red that delivers on body but is delicate on the finish.

    Savoury & Classic

Domenico Clerico is known for their world class Barolos. His Del Comune di Monforte is the entry level to experience this fossil land composition. High levels of active limestone, clay, sand and loam are the foundation to these iconic lines of Barolo wines. The nose on this wine is filled with crushed red rose petals and leather. The palate reads lots of cherry with a hint of wet clay.

    About the Winery

    Domenico Clerico

Located at the heart of Barolo in Monforte d’Alba, the Domenico Clerico estate has been making iconic wines since 1976, when the eponymous young winemaker took the reins. Beginning with just a small 4-hectare farm inherited from his father, Domenico sought out the best undiscovered plots in Barolo, thus pioneering the idea of single cru wines.

    Distinguished & Harmonious

A Barolo, born from the overwhelming desire of Domenico to try his hand at new adventures, the “wild aeroplane”, as he used to be called by his father, in 2006 he chose to branch out from the town of Monforte and strike out in a new territory: Serralunga D’Alba. This wine is produced with Nebbiolo grapes deriving from a vineyard collocated in Serralunga d’Alba and it distinguishes itself from the other kind of Barolo wines produced in this cave both for its characteristics and for its label: 6 different labels that represent the Aeroplan Servaj lay inside a wood packaging, while outside there is the legend of the wine’s name. Elegant Barolo wine with an intense and transparent ruby red colour; the smell of it emanates a various and intense bouquet with the floral aroma of violet, rose, blueberries, raspberries, and spices. Wine of great balance and persistence that combines perfectly with red meats, and seasoned cheeses. It has a good capacity of aging, too.

The bouquet is quiet yet brimming with potential, offering whispers of wild mint, thyme, and tart red berries beneath a veil of sweet and savory spices. The palate reveals a refined structure, its elegant tannins accentuating dried cherry flavors, while a savory undercurrent hints at complexity to be unlocked by years in the cellar.

    Mesmerizing & Refined

This Barolo showcases the artistry of a skilled producer in a challenging vintage. The bouquet is a captivating medley of spices and dried fruits, ranging from cherry and currant to pomegranate and plum, all beautifully intertwined with a delicate licorice note. On the palate, the wine is firm and well-structured, with fine-grained tannins that promise great aging potential, although the wine drinks well now. Despite the vintage's reputation, this Barolo defies expectations, delivering a pretty and elegant expression that highlights the grower's expertise and the wine's ability to evolve gracefully over time. It is a testament to the resilience and potential of Nebbiolo in the hands of a master.

This specific  area in which these grapes grow is a microclimate that is now known as Podere dei Blumeri. This blend of soft and strong delivers an incredible bouquet of blue and purple flowers, blackcurrant, morello cherry with balsamic and tobacco on the finish.

It offers aromas of mature red fruits like strawberry, raspberry, and currant, complemented by subtle herbal nuances. This dry wine is a perfect match for poultry and egg-based dishes, and it’s also delightful when served chilled.

    About the Winery

    Peri Bigogno

Peri Bigogno, a family of winemakers since 1946, traces its roots to the Castenedolo hill, nestled between the city of Brescia and Lake Garda, where the passion for viticulture has thrived for centuries. For over seventy years, the Peri family has worked to preserve the winemaking traditions of their region. In 1972, Mario and Maria pioneered the creation of "Gobbo," a blend of the best red grapes, followed by the first harvest of Chardonnay in 1980, dedicated to producing Castenedolo’s first “Champennoise” sparkling wine. Today, their son Andrea and his wife Francesca continue the legacy, sharing their wines both in Italy and internationally.
