The 2022 Riesling Zeltinger Himmelreich Kabinett (Green Capsule) opens with a very clear, bright, fresh, and coolish yet intense bouquet of ripe and lush stone fruits, wet stones, and beautiful floral and vegetal notes. On the palate, it is dense, round, and intense—savory and well-structured—still very youthful and surprisingly mouthfilling for a Kabinett. The finish is savory and rather dry, despite the 2022 vintage showing a touch of residual sugar. Its lively, energetic character makes it taste almost dry.

Markus Molitor vineyards are located from Brauneberg to Traben-Trarbach and since 2001 also in the Saar Valley. The variety of slate soils and micro-climates allows us to vinify numerous facets of Mosel wines. Molitor wines are literally rooted in their slate soils. Deliberately sensitive and restrained vineyard management, low yields, and late harvest of physiologically ripe grapes make for a matchless wealth of flavor extracts.
