Elegant & Fresh
Verdicchio di Matelica is one of Italy’s oldest native wines and the first D.O.C. of the Marche region (established in 1967), is crafted from a unique terroir with wide temperature ranges and distinctive soils. This straw-yellow wine boasts notes of pineapple, grapefruit, apple, lime, and hawthorn flowers. It’s known for its elegance, freshness, and mineral qualities, with a balanced, citrusy finish. Ideal with fish, white meats, Marche cured meats, medium-aged cheeses, and dishes like baked croaker with vegetables.
About the Winery
Tenuta Piano Di Rustano
“A great passion for the land makes you put your heart into our work. The sensations of our wines are born from the care of the ancient vineyards of the Estate and from the skilful work of the cellar which bring with them a fragment of their land of origin and the history from which they come.” Tenuta Piano di Rustano is located in the high Macerata lands, in a hilly area where the cold climate of the Apennines that cross central Italy is partly mitigated by the proximity of the Adriatic Sea.
