Refined and Complex
Excitingly pure and focused on the terroir characteristics and the fine but concentrated berry and cherry fruit that is obviously based on French genetics, the 2020 Pinot Noir Brauneberger Klostergarten ** opens with an intense yet refined and bright, iodine-scented bouquet of dark forest berries intertwined with flinty notes of crushed slate and quartzite. Silky and immensely juicy yet fresh on the vital and highly finessed palate, this is an intense, tight complex, minerally tensioned and mouth-tickling, even iodine Pinot with ripe and fine tannins intertwined with the crystalline and saline acidity.

M A R K U S M O L I T O R
Markus Molitor vineyards are located from Brauneberg to Traben-Trarbach and since 2001 also in the Saar Valley. The variety of slate soils and micro-climates allows us to vinify numerous facets of Mosel wines. Molitor wines are literally rooted in their slate soils. Deliberately sensitive and restrained vineyard management, low yields, and late harvest of physiologically ripe grapes make for a matchless wealth of flavor extracts.
