The blue weber agave used to produce Cava de Oro Tequila Extra Añejo is harvested at 7 to 10 years, from both the Los Altos and Tequila Valley regions of Jalisco. Instead of using the familiar ex-bourbon American oak barrels for aging, the distillery utilizes ex-red wine French oak barrels, where this Extra Añejo spends 5 years maturing. The extra Añejo offering is aged five years versus the typical three year minimum which produces its dark amber colour and a complexity on the nose which includes cinnamon, caramel, vanilla and nutmeg. To be sipped neat or on the rocks and it's finish lingers delicately on the palate.

Distilled from 100% blue weber agave harvested from both the Los Altos and Tequila Valley regions of Jalisco, it spends 2 years aging in French white oak barrels before it is filtered clear and bottled at 40% ABV. To be enjoyed slowly, either neat or on the rocks. As you pour this tequila, a mixture of aromas gently greets you, with notes of dried fruits and toasted oak. The Extra Añejo Tequila was matured for more than 6 years in French White Oak barrels and each bottle is designed and handcrafted by local Jalisco artist and sculptor Rodo Padilla. She created this limited 3rd Edition Day of the Dead bottle to encapsulate Mexican culture in a fun way.
Only 400 bottles were produced worldwide.

Based on the legend of the Purepecha, in which Monarch butterflies bring the souls of our loved ones, as they arrive in Michoacán on the "Day of the Dead".
Tequila Extra Añejo aged for over 93 months in French White Oak barrels, with a longer aging time that gives it a fresh touch and the smoothness of the wood.
The color displays bright reddish and dark amber hues. Its aroma is a result of a fine toasting process, offering wooden notes intertwined with a plethora of fruity and cooked agave aromas. On the palate, the tequila's exquisite sweetness unfolds, leading to an ample and long-lasting finish.
Only 200 bottles were produced worldwide.
