The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed before undergoing a micro-oxygenation process to soften the tannins and enhance the varietal aromas. The wine is then aged in steel tanks and subsequently bottled. It features a ruby red color with violet hues when young and a vinous, fruity bouquet. The palate is pleasant with moderate acidity, offering a persistent and notably harmonious profile.

Barbera, after long years of oblivion, represents nowadays one of the most remarkable products of Piedmont wine making. A drastic lowering of yields has allowed us to keep down the excessive acidity and to obtain a young wine with an intense ruby-red colour. Its intense perfumes introduce pleasant fruity scents, among which blackberry prevails. It’s a well-structured wine with bright acidity balanced by fruity flavours, dry, persistent.
The tannic note is well perceptible but not intrusive. This wine stays in the bottle for a few years. We recommend that the wine is served at about 18°. It complements hearty dishes of red meats and aged cheeses.About the Winery

These grapes are grown in the historic hills of Friuli laden in marly soil composed of clay, silt and mineral rich limestone. This aromatic white is harvested by hand then pressed at a low temperature with no sulphur dioxide giving rich notes of honeysuckle, jasmine and white peach with dominant notes of seashell on the nose. Aged in stainless steel for 8 months then in bottle for a minimum of 5 months giving this wine its distinct creamy richness with the perfect balance of sweet freshness.

A blend of eaux-de-vie with and without lees, it is naturally reduced to 42% ABV to ensure purity and depth of flavor.
