The Friulano grape is indigenous to Friuli and was one of the first made by Mario Schiopetto, as the first production of this Friulano was 1965. This is a full-bodied white with a savory characteristic that is versatile with pairings and has a signature high acidity. Fermentation is in stainless steel for 10-12 days then aged 8 months then aged in moves to its final stage in bottle for a minimum of 5 months. Notes of almond, apricot, and pear dominate the palate while the nose is blossomed with herbaceousness, seaweed and grapefruit. Pair this with anything from cured meats, vongole pasta, game and chicken - this is a white to be served with your mains.
