This wine encompasses luxurious tradition - this is undoubtedly a collector’s item. This special wine is produced manually from beginning to end. All harvesting is manual on trays then drying and racking in the appassimento method. The grapes come from vines that are 80 years old and hand numbered bottles with unique labels by Niko Kherkeladze for each bottle produced. As you allow this wine to open you will see it blossom into a varying experience leaving each sip to discover something new. There are very few bottles of this wine created each year, this is a rare opportunity to add to your collection. This incredible wine can be aged over 20 years in bottle adding complexities each year it rests. You will find deep nuances of wild berry and chocolate, stewed plums, vanilla bean along with deep woody notes, coffee beans and earth. A true work of art.

These white grapes are the newest addition to the ACVV family and are an absolute knockout. This greenish-gold hued elegant Sauvignon is rich in every sense of the word with an incredibly refreshing palate. Complex yet approachable, you will find a mix of tropical and stone fruit on the nose and palate, along with stewed citrus with orange blossom, melon, fresh peach and lemon curd.

    Creamy & Complex

The grapes for this white wine are all hand-picked at harvest and then meticulously stored in a cold storage for 24 hours. Utilizing cool temperate control before fermentation is a signature of Torre de Palma and this creates a crystal-like texture of minerality. This elegant and sophisticated white wine is stored in oak barrels from Burgundy giving it a nice toasty brioche nuance. Other notes on this wine are beeswax, roasted hazelnuts, grapefruit, honeydew, saline and nectarine.

    About the Winery

    Torre De Palma

Torre de Palma winery offers a truly unique experience as it’s situated within a boutique hotel at the heart of the Alto Alentejo wine region, more specifically in Monforte, Portalegre. The main aim was to build a traditional winery with its small marbled (marble from the region) wine-presses, where the grapes are trodden and the red ones fermented. One can also find refrigerated cement deposits. Torre de Palma wines respect the terroir in which they have grown and are mostly handcrafted and separated into small lots.

Barbera is the renowned Queen of Langhe which can sometimes be overlooked by those who are not local to the area. This particular Barbera d'Alba is concocted from three specific plots and blended into symphony to accent each other yet unify at the same time. Notes of tart cherry, dried herbs, red liquorice and dark berries are on both the nose and palate. This wine is aged in oak which gives it its distinctive roundness.

A Barolo, born from the overwhelming desire of Domenico to try his hand in new adventures, the “wild aeroplane”, as he used to be called by his father, in 2006 he chose to branch out from the town of Monforte and strike out in a new territory: Serralunga D’Alba. This wine is produced with Nebbiolo grapes deriving from a vineyard collocated in Serralunga d’Alba and it distinguishes from the other kind of Barolo wines produced in this cave both for its characteristics and for its label: 6 different labels that represent the Aeroplan Servaj lay inside a wood packaging, while outside there is the legend of the wine’s name. Elegant Barolo wine with an intense and transparent ruby red colour; the smell of it emanates a various and intense bouquet with floral aroma of violet, rose, blueberries, raspberries, spices. Wine of great balance and persistence that combines perfectly with red meats, seasoned cheeses. It has a good capacity of aging, too.

Domenico Clerico is known for their world class Barolos. His Del Comune di Monforte is the entry level to experience this fossil land composition. High levels of active limestone, clay, sand and loam are the foundation to these iconic lines of Barolo wines. The nose on this wine is filled with crushed red rose petals and leather. The palate reads lots of cherry with a hint of wet clay.

This Barolo is the flagship wine of the cellar where the grapes are grown on vines planted in 1968. These wines are tediously aged in glass for 10 years and are only produced within the best vintages. This wine is a true work of art that is an homage to Domenico and Giuliana’s daughter. Although the vines are old the first vintage produced is 1995, since then only certain vintages are selected to proceed into a Percristina. The sensory nature of this wine is profound, this is for those with true appreciation of the art of Barolo. The soil is optimal with sand, loam, clay and active limestone, over time it becomes much more than wine. This is a once in a life-time 2010 vintage scored 99 from James Suckling, and the family describes as deeply emotional and sentimental.
